That was the week that was.  Down up down up down. like a dog scratching fleas. IBD went from a confirmed downtrend to a confirmed uptrend in 3 days and even though the week ended with a down 100 point day they maintained their uptrend call.     The % of stocks above 50 day average closed the week at 56%.  The DJIA remained above its 50 day average of 14993 and the Mikey 50 remained above the 0 line.  They all confirm the IBD uptrend call.

The IMF downgraded the US economy Friday and that caused the sell off  but wait, bad news should be good news because the Fed is going to pump right?  The dollar sold off all week but the Market went with it. The bonds sold off  but the economy is weak right?   The bonds rallied Thursday with a market rally that was caused by strong retail sales.    Meanwhile,  the Bulls and the Bears were on a roller coaster that basically went nowhere fast. There has been no resolution to the, will they or won't they thing for about 3 months, maybe we will get something next week.
